Avnit Singh is a multidisciplinary artist, curator, and educator based in Bangalore, India. With a Master’s in Contemporary Art Practices from Srishti Institute of Art, Design and Technology—alongside formal education in Applied Psychology and English Literature—her practice spans drawing, mixed media, installation, text, and performance. Through her work, Avnit explores the nuances of human emotion, everyday existence, and the power of art as a medium for rest, healing, and transformation.
Avnit’s deeply personal approach to creativity underscores her belief in art as a lifeline, a theme that became central to her practice during the pandemic. Recently, her explorations in watercolor reflect a therapeutic engagement with materials, emphasizing emotional processing and self-discovery.
As the founder of PartlyPurple, Avnit fosters community-based artistic exploration, promoting dialogue, companionship, and experimental creativity. She has co-curated major international projects such as the Tbilisi Triennial (2018, 2022) and has exhibited her work at renowned platforms, including the Kochi Muziris Biennale Collateral (2016-17) and EAST – East Austin Studio Tour (2022), cementing her presence in global contemporary art circles.
Her commitment to education includes her role as visiting faculty at Srishti Institute of Art, Design and Technology, where she empowers students to discover their artistic voice. Avnit’s work fosters shared reflection and emotional depth.
